Friday Photo Flashback

Posted on

I saw several of Senior Citizen marching down the road this afternoon. I guess they came from their organization’s meeting. I felt a sudden rush of loneliness. I miss my mom so much… she’s gone with the Lord 6 months ago. I am teary-eyed as I am writing this post. When can I get over thing feeling?

  1. Your mom looks like she was a beautiful lady.

I'm not sure there is a time frame on how long one should or does grieve over the loss of a parent. I've yet to experience that loss myself.

However, I hope the Lord brings you peace and comfort in your days and that your mom's memory shines brightly in your heart forever.

  2. I think the missing will never go away. At least, not until you are reunited with her in heaven. I think what can give you comfort is knowing that she is way better off than we are.

  3. Oh, I am so sorry for your loss. I don't think you ever get over such a loss, but smiles do begin to replace the tears as you remember the good times rather than suffer the loss. I love your picture…I'm sure she was so proud of you.

  4. What a wonderful photo of you and your mom.

Oh, I do understand your heart! My mom also went to be with the Lord in 2004! And I still would love to be able to pick up the phone and just talk! I miss her so very much and am so thankful for the wonderful memories, photos, videos that we have of her!

    Blessings & Aloha!
(My mom was also from the Philippines :o) I have not been to the Philipppines since I was 14yrs old and my parents, brother and I lived at Clark AFB when my dad was stationed there.)

Please feel free to stop by and if you do, please leave a comment so I now that you were there.

  5. hi grace,

So sorry about your loss, to lose one's mom is really difficult, something that is very hard to get over with, but as they say, time heals all wounds and someday you'll be with her again. I pray God gives you enough strength and comfort during this time of grief.

Anyways, youve got big malls there in cebu ha. i was able to go to ayala centre dati pa (way back in 2002) when we visited the house my parents bought in minglanilla, and its super nice (similar to the ayala in the manila din)..

happy mm, and thanks for the visit.

    till next week momi.
