The Bible tells us that “God is Love” (1 John 4:8).
But how can we even begin to understand that truth? There are many passages in the Bible that give us God’s definition of love. The most well known verse is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
So one way God defines love is in the act of giving. However, what God gave was not a mere gift-wrapped present; God sacrificed His only Son so that we, who put our faith in His Son, will not spend eternity separated from Him. This is an amazing love, because we are the ones who choose to be separated from God through our own sin, yet it’s God who mends the separation through His intense personal sacrifice, and all we have to do is accept His gift.
Another great verse about God’s love that is found in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
THIS VALENTINE’S DAY … DON’T FORGET TO THANK YOU GOD FOR HIS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!
Cagayan de Oro is a goldmine for those in search of new tourist and investment destination. It has a reservoir of advantages over other cities in the country . Why? It has no typhoons all year round, rich agricultural environments, a broad consumer and manpower base, cheap and abundant power, strategically located international seaports, modern telecommunication facilities, adequate infrastructure and a highly efficient educational system. As of this writing there are various construction projects that are on-going in the city as follows :
The Paseo del Rio Business complex which includes a 21 F Hotel (Reviera Genesis) and Convention Center . I guess this is an investment of the Pelaez Group of Companies, the owner of Liceo de Cagayan Univesity.
The high-rise Limketkai Hotel has already started beside the existing Gateway Twin Tower. According to my ex-office mate who now supervises one of the scope of works of the construction , the main tower will have a 33-storey and the second tower will have a 18 –storey floors.
The construction of the biggest mall in Mindanao costing at least P4.5 billion has already started . If Quezon City have their Trinoma… we have now the Ayala Mall called “ Centrio” . Why Centrio? Because it is located in the city’s bustling business district along C.M. Recto national highway this year.
Other projects to start are the construction of Mindanao University of Science and Technology Gymnasium, The KITROL Holdings Inc. P200-million worth fuel storage facility inside the Phividec Industrial Authority area , Ateneo de Cagayan Magix Complex, Construction of the Mindanao Control Center of the National Grid Corporation of the Phils. (NGCP) and many more.
Being a civil engineer, I am very excited to see all these projects completed. I believe, they have the best contractors to do the job and the best materials to use for the project like Mixing Valves, Ball Valves and PEX Valves for their plumbing, heating and sanitary scope of works.
