Sadness and Hapiness when your child graduates….

Posted on

Graduation ceremonies  is one of a parent’s proudest moments. When you look at all of these children whom were no more than little kids when they entered the school in  1st grade  and are now leaving  their elementary years  as young adults,  reality sets in.  My daughter is  graduating next week and the fact that she is  no longer  the little girl that I used to cuddled  hits me  pretty hard. To 7 1be honest ,  I felt a sense of sadness that comes with a Child’s growing up and not needing your nurturing as much. To cope up, I am thinking back  when I was  in the same situation and realize that for the child it is a good thing to move onward and upward toward adult-hood. They have so much to look forward too in life.

For my babay Dalefaith  – CONGRATULATIONS! We are proud of you! Your graduation gift awaits as you step down the stage to receive your diploma. I assure you , with or without a medal… you are still our number 1!

Amazing Election of Officers

I blogged about this on “ A Walk to Remember” but allow me to express again my feelings regarding the Parents-Teachers-Association general assembly this morning of Liceo de Cagayan University – 4th year high school class 2012-2013.

Honestly, I arrived late during the meeting. We finished late with our prayer breakfast, so I was late with the PTA 8 a.m. meeting. I came at the middle of discussion of the school manual. I looked around and found only a handful familiar faces. The manual’s discussion was a delayed because of some parent’s clarifications.
The election came and surprisingly I was elected as the Class PTA President. Amazing! How could they knew me when I was late and was not able to introduce myself? My surname “FANCUBIT” is hard to pronounce and have a little chance for name-recall. Also, I was just silent and seated in one corner during the discussion of manual to refrain from being known. Lastly, physically , I am just simple and beauty for sure can not catch their attention!

AMAZING! ISN’T IT?

Determined to finish the race with flying colors

“When the sun is shining I can do anything; no mountain is too high, no trouble too difficult to overcome.”

This is what my son quoted to me early this morning when  I stopped him from going to school .  He was just out from the hospital last Friday  due to  a minor fracture on his nose and hands. He was hit by a big motorbike  last Tuesday while going home.  Although still   struggling with arm movement , he went to school today with arm cement-casted.  He’s needed in school  for their class presentation. He was the one  who  made the script and the director of their drama/skit and that there’s no one else can  do the task.  Aside from that it’s their school finals and he has to get the details of the   essay        topic that was assigned to him.

While other student would be happy to be exempted from going to school due to sickness, my son  felt the opposite.   I can understand him since he has a grade to maintain as   full academic scholar and he’s aiming high to be among the top 5 during the recognition ceremony next week. Anyway, with his essay he has the internet for the reference like the http://www.superiorpapers.com.au . The site provides quality research paper help, term papers, homework help and custom essays that are guaranteed to meet every student’s needs. With Superiorpapers.com my son could relax and concentrate more on his Science Investigative Project which need more focus. You can do it Jay,  just don’t forget to pray and ask fro God’s wisdom and knowledge.

Amazing Grades !

Two weeks ago was our church’s youth camp . It was timely with my son’s periodical exams. As the mom, I was a little bit worried on his examination result specially that he was not able to study well due to the nightly practices. The Spectrum band of which he heads was assigned to lead the praise and worship of the camp thus he was compelled to undergo the three-day fasting. He had to take the exam with an empty stomach and an aching head.

I was bothered because my son is only 15 years old and it was his first time to fast ( and 3 days at that!) . I prayed for passing grades but to my surprise he was able to perfect 5 of his subjects and among the top 5 from the rest of the subjects! WOW! Isn’t that AMAZING! Indeed if we SEEK GOD FIRST EVERYTHING SHALL BE ADDED UNTO US!
