My heart is grieving until this moment that I no longer have a wedding ring on my third finger. It was accidentally lost while I was attending a beauty training course last year. Our teacher instructed us to remove all jewelry while we were doing a hair re-bonding chemical application. My mind really refused to follow the instruction but our teacher told me personally to remove it. I then placed it inside my jeans pocket. Because of excitement, I totally forgot to get my ring from my pocket after the hair re-bonding Eight hours session. It was only at home that I remembered it and then… found out it was no longer in my jeans pocket. I exerted effort to find it – went to the training venue and went to places I’ve been for the whole day but all my efforts were futile. Whew! Because of the incident, I decided to stop attending the class. I was so discouraged and wished I didn’t enroll after all.
Good new is my hubby promised to replace it before we will celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary . Though it will still be in 2020 , he has started looking for for platinum wedding rings. Why Platinum ? Because it is a strong and malleable metal and is the perfect one for making wedding bands and rings. It is highly resistant to wear and tear and excellent base to set precious stone in. I wish he can find a cheaper platinum rings soon.
I saw this on facebook yesterday even before ABS-CBN shared a news story on their lifestyle section. I was mobile and had a hard time embedding the codes through wordpress mobile apps, so I decided to forego it and wait till I’ll be on my PC. The story truly is heartwarming. Being a wedding coordinator, I have seen a lot of beautiful wedding videos but this one made me cry a lot. Wannah cry too ? Play the video.
Early this year, Rowden and Leizl decided to get married on July 8, 2014, Rowden’s 30th birthday. Together with their adorable 2-year-old daughter, they already had a perfect family.
Then a twist of fate, Rowden got diagnosed with stage IV liver cancer in late May. His last request was to marry his one true love. After 12hours of preparations, his dream was fulfilled. Unable to take him outside the hospital, we brought the church to him. It was like a heartbreaking fairytale.
Rowden Go Pangcoga, at the age of 29-years-old, passed away on June 11, 2014. Less than 10hours after he said his vows.
He is survived by his wife Leizel May, daughter Zakiah Rowzel, mother Lorelei, and brothers Hasset & Hisham.
Our love has grown together…When I think of our life together over the years, all the special times and treasured memories, I know I am so blessed to have you . You bring me joy always. Thank you for being my spouse, lover and friend. Happy 19 Wedding Anniversary.
I went to a wedding as an ordinary guest, but I ended up coordinating the wedding ceremony. Why ? Because the company which the couple hired sent someone who has no experience in coordinating a wedding. Thank God I went there 30 minutes earlier and than God for the wisdom, I was able to discern something is not right while looking at the person in-charge so I volunteered to assist. When the priest’s assistant told us to start the processional, he gave up and turned to me for help. So I got a copy of the program and started to check the details. The Church liturgist or commentator has not yet arrived. Some of the principal sponsor were absent. We could not wait for them, so I asked for replacement. Thank God someone volunteered to act as liturgist.
Thank God the processional went smoothly, except for the bible bearer who refused to walk down the isle. I am not used to coordinating a catholic wedding, so I patterned the processional with my usual way of doing it. Their were no ushers to guide the entourage to their seats, so I let the maid of honor and best man do the job. Yes! I know the maid of honor supposed to walk down the isle before the Bride or some at the back of the bride to look after the gown, but this time I let her walk after the best man . I do not have the luxury to orient the entourage at a longer period of time because the priest was already giving a cue to start. I greatly thank God that my quick instruction was easily understood by everybody.
God really is worthy of Praise! With-out the processional would be a chaos!
I saw this video online awhile ago and I can’t helped but be amazed with the wedding of 3,000 pairs held in one of the biggest gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea. They are all member of the Unification Church founded by Sun Myun Moon … or better known as the moonies.
I just wondered if there were some Filipino among them , since the sect has been active in our country few years back. In fact, I have a friend who nearly got married but was pulled-out from their compound forcibly by her family. I am planning to post her story here in a few days.
